Search engines strike back against click frauds

click_fraud The Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) joins efforts with the Media Rating Council (MRC) to build click
measurement guidelines. This working group, which includes Google, Yahoo! and Microsoft Corp. as memberships, aims at determining invalid and fraudulent clicks (source: IAB).

Google will pay 90 million dollars to settle click fraud lawsuit

click_fraud_2Attacked for profiting from “click fraud” since April 2005 by several companies, Google has chosen to make a compromise last week. Following a note posted on the blog of Nicole Wong, Google Associate General Counsel, Google agreed to establish a $90 million fund to settle the lawsuit.
